After grabbing a thrilling 3-3 draw against Spain on their opening fixture, Portugal are now targeting nothing else but three points on their second group game against Morocco.
Selecao Das Quinas players are also in a confident mood following their success in snatching a point from Spain, so they definitely won’t be playing too careful or scared this Wednesday.
Cristiano Ronaldo will most likely be Portugal’s main attacking threat and the nation’s head coach, Fernando Santos certainly hoping that his skipper can keep up his fine form from the first game.
However, Santos warned his opponent that his side is not just only Ronaldo, since other players will also help the Real Madrid star on the pitch.
Morocco themselves are also in dire needs for victory, following their heart breaking last minute defeat against Iran in their first match.
Conceding late from an own goal is definitely difficult to take, but Herve Renard’s team must not fall further into disappointment as they have a potential much tougher task against Portugal.
Renard certainly hopes that his team can bounce back immediately and put on an excellent display to overcome Ronaldo and co.
It won’t be an easy task, but they basically have nothing to lose either, so it’s probably better for them to just push hard and give their all.
