Polandia and Colombia Battling for Redemption

Losing their opening group game in World Cup 2018, both Portugal along with Colombia will be looking for nothing else other than redemption when they face up against each others this Sunday.

Having to overcome the disappointment of being edged by Senega 2-1, Adam Nawalka’s side have some concern over their hope of advancing into the knock out stage.

Their bad record of always failing to get into the next round after losing their opening group game seemingly lingers on the players’ mind, but that won’t stop them from thinking that it’s time to end that myth.

In order to avoid that bad record, The White and Reds understand that they must avoid any individual errors which led them into conceding goal against Senegal.

Moreover, Poland will also be looking to be more creating in the final third, basically trying their best in servicing their star man, Robert Lewandowski, so he can showcase his goal scoring prowess.

Colombia themselves also found themselves under difficult situation due to their 2-1 defeat against Japan in the first match.

Despite losing that opening group game, Los Cafeteros are not short of confidence ahead of their weekend tie as they will be treating their game against Poland like a final.

Knowing that another defeat will most likely put them out of the tournament, Colombia are determined to give their best, especially in the final third, where they know they must be more clinical.

Poland: Wojciech Szczesny(g); Kamil Glik; Michal Pazdan, Lukasz Piszczek; Maciej Rybus, Jacek Goralski, Grzegorz Krychowiak, Bartosz Bereszyniski; Kamil Grosicki, Piotr Zielinski, Robert Lewandowski.
