Poland finally securing their place in the knock out stage of Euro 2016 after grabbing a solid 1-0 win over Ukraine on Tuesday.
Adam Nawalka’s men immediately put on an aggressive display since kick off as they were determined in grabbing early goals that can calm their nerves.
However, it was not an easy job for Robert Lewandowski and co as Ukraine put on a pretty solid display notably during the first 45 minutes.
Poland finally got their break through on 54 minutes through Jakub Blaszczykowski, who scored with a lovely shot from inside the penalty area.
Despite both teams’ continuous attempts afterwards, none were able to score anymore goals as that game ended in a 1-0 win for Poland.
Nawalka’s men finished second in their group, despite collecting the same point as first place Germany as Joachim Low’s men have slightly better goal difference.
