Manchester City made their way into the knock out stages of Champions League after such difficult campaign as they confirmed their passage after grabbing an important win on the final group game against AS Roma.
Although the English champion had a more difficult situation as their opponent only needing a draw, but things turned out favorable for Manuel Pellegrini’s men as they grabbed a 2-0 victory.
Pellegrini also admitted that it was far from an easy task as Roma are a strong side that put out many threats on that game, but fortune do favor Man City in that game, something that the tactician cherished.
Meanwhile, Roma head coach, Rudi Garcia noted that although failing to qualify into the next round is disappointing for them, but this situation could be a learning curve that Giallorossi need to improve in the future.
