There was no fairly tale debut for new Manchester United striker Robin van Persie as his side lost to Everton in their opening Premier League fixture on Monday. After joining from Arsenal on Friday, Van Persie was left on the bench and was making an appearance after 67 minutes. By that time, Everton had taken lead next to a thumping header hand from the man of the match Marouane Fellaini. Even with Van Persie being ready on the pitch, United couldn’t find an equalizer, instead Moise’s men made a perfect start of the new season. But despite the wind, Moise isn’t getting carried away.
“We haven’t started the season very well and even today the result isn’t showing you’ve started the season well, just like we’ve lost today, we can’t say that we’ve started the season badly. I think that you can judge after 10 games how you’ve started the season, but after all that I know, it ain’t a good start so we will try something else this year”. The Everton manager reserved special prays for the outgoing performances. And Moise believes the Belgian will fill this visibility which could be vital for the team this season.
“Well Fellaini is a great mid-field player as well so we can play with him behind the striker or we can put him in the middle of the pitch and then he can play defensive one if we need it as well, so we can use him in different ways”. Everton will look to build up on that triumph as well, as they travel to Aston Villa on August 25th, while Alex Ferguson and his Manchester United team looks to bounce back from this defeat, as they lost with Fulham on the same day.
