Struggling in the Premier League, Chelsea prove that they can still be a threat for any Champions League teams as they made their way into the competition’s knock out stage after defeating Porto 2-0.
That result was pleasing enough for The Blues’ bosss, Jose Mourinho, who praised his players’ performance in that tie, saying they were brave and up for the task.
Mourinho explained that with their current bad form in the league, it’s never easy in picking up all three points against difficult team such as Porto.
Moreover, considering the fact that Chelsea only needed a draw to advance, still playing hard and push for all three points is something that deserved appreciation according to the Portuguese tactician.
