Wayne Rooney’s performance has been far from his best so far this season and Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho believes that intense critics over the Englishman are the main culprit for it.
Mourinho stated that the huge drop of Rooney’s display happened after international break as there were plenty harsh words towards the England skipper from that moment on.
Although admitting that an experience player like Rooney should be able to handle that kind of situation, Mourinho believes it still a difficult thing for the former Everton man.
Nevertheless, the Portuguese tactician is confident that his skipper always gives 100 % on the pitch so there’s no reason for Mourinho to doubt Rooney at all.
