Morocco to Mark World Cup Return by Beating Iran

Haven’t been participating in the World Cup finals for 20 years, Morocco finally got themselves back in 2018 and they certainly won’t be keen on just being a mere participant in the tournament.

The Atlas Lion are hoping to put on an excellent display so grabbing maximum points on their opening fixture against Iran will be the target for Herve Renard’s side, though it might not be an easy task.

Having several quality talents who are playing in European top leagues such as Mehdi Benatia (Juventus) and Hakim Ziyech (Ajax Amsterdam), Morocco will have some confident in taking down their opponent, but they must prove it on the pitch.

Meanwhile, Iran themselves are enjoying their second World Cup finals participation in a row, showcasing they’re ability to stay consistent in recent years, though they are dreaming for something more than just group stage battles.

Getting into the knock out stages won’t be easy, but a win over Morocco on their opening game might give Team Melli a shot in fulfilling their dream.

Certainly it won’t be easy for the Asian side to challenge their African counterpart, but Carlos Queiroz’s men are ready to give their all in grabbing maximum points.

Saeid Ezatolahi will be absent for Iran due to suspension and their skipper Ashkan Dejagah is battling to get himself fit on time before the opening group match.
