Italian giant, AC Milan reportedly have beaten several top teams including Liverpool to secure the signature of talented Brazilian midfielder, Lucas Paqueta.

Rossoneri have been strongly reported by several media, notably local press in Brazil already struck a deal that weal take Paqueta to play in Italian Serie starting from January 2019, right after the winter transfer market being officially opened.

The 21-year-old creative midfielder has been monitored by many Milan recently, notably since the appointment of their Brazilian director, Leonardo, who has strong connection with talents from his country.

Reports also suggesting it was the former Paris Saint-Germain’s director who directly made contacts and negotiated with Paqueta’s current club, Flamengo, which supposedly ended with a positive result.

No official statements have been issued as just yet, but it can arrive soon, knowing that the latest reports suggesting the player is currently undergoing medicals in Brazil, which will last until Thursday.

Nevertheless, knowing that the winter transfer market won’t be opened until January, any official announcement might have to wait until early 2019.

The player himself reportedly will still be playing his last game for Flamengo in Brazil league next December, before eventually flying to Milan.

Apart from Liverpool, Rossoneri apparently also beat the interest from Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, who were also interested in taking the young midfielder.

Still, without any signature along with official announcement, the reports can still be considered as rumors, since anything can still happen until that contract is signed.
