Another coaching trouble happened for Italian giant, AC Milan as they have confirmed the sacking of Vincenzo Montella and immediately replacing him with their youth team coach Gennaro Gattuso.
Soon after drawing 0-0 against Torino at San Siro, Milan’s management suddenly decided to part ways with Montella without reportedly giving much hints to the former Fiorentina’s boss.
Albeit the decision might not be a shock for some fans as Rossoneri’s start in Serie A have been below expectation this season, but their 0-0 draw against Il Granata seems like the ultimate trigger as it marked their fourth winless home game.
Not only that, apparently that weekend result also means that in their last four Serie A home matches, Milan have failed to register any single goals, which is quite surprising indeed.
Although his sacking might still be considered harsh, considering the situation that Rossoneri’s new management put him on, but there’s some indication that they might already eyeing big profile replacement for next summer.
This indication gets stronger with the immediate appointment of Gattuso as replacement, which is quite rare as most clubs would just have pick a temporary stand in before officially getting a real replacement.
However, judging by the announcement at the club’s official site, there’s a strong chance that Gattuso will be kept until the end of season unless some unexpected situation happens.
It’s certainly not a promising scenario for Milan fans as this type of situation occurred quite often in recent season and never really ended well for the Italian giant.
Appointing former players with very minimum first team coaching experiences doesn’t seem to improve anything for the Red and Blacks as after Massimiliano Allegri’s dismissal, they haven’t had any sustain period of renowned tactician managing them.
