After not reporting for training with Manchester United for more than a week, Anthony Martial, finally confirmed that he will return for his team’s preseason program on Thursday.
Martial revealed his return to training statement via social media, revealing the reason for his recent absent was purely due to family reason, which for him is always his number one priority.
The Frenchman recently left United’s preseason program in United States, following the birth of his daughter, but didn’t return to his team’s US tour or report himself for training back at the club’s main training ground in England.
Moreover, Martial reportedly didn’t have any supervised training program for eight days as he didn’t give any follow information whatsoever towards his team, prompting at potential fine worth 180,000 pounds.
It’s still unclear though whether the Red Devils will be activating that fine, since Martial has finally explained what happened with his situation for going AWOL in recent days.
Nevertheless, the former Monaoc’s man action seemingly caused a strong disappointment from manager Jose Mourinho, who already doesn’t consider the young French attacker at the top of the tactician’s packing order.
Rumors did claim that Martial is looking for a way out of Old Trafford, but so far Man United haven’t shown strong intention of sell the player, though it could also be because they haven’t receive any adequate offer as just yet.
