Experiencing plenty of off the pitch sensation so far this season, Manchester United managed to temporarily squash away the negativity as they picked up an important home win over Newcastle United on Saturday.
Playing under serious rumors regarding the future of their boss, Jose Mourinho, United didn’t make a good start into that tie, as they conceded two goals courtesy of Kenedy along with Yoshinori Muto.
That 2-0 score line lasted until half time break, giving that sign of frustration towards the home fans as they were expecting some positive reaction after recent poor performances.
Man United tried to push even harder after the break as they didn’t want to go down easily in front of their home crowd, and their efforts finally got it rewards in the last 20 minutes of that match.
Juan Mata started the come back with his effort on 70 minutes, before Anthony Martial grabbed the equalizing goal within just six minutes later.
The home team completed their turn around right on the 90 minutes mark, through their struggling super star, Alexis Sanchez.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur bounced back from their Champions League defeat as Mauricio Pochettino’s men defeated Cardiff 1-0.
The only goal on that tie was netted by Eric Dier after just eight minutes into the game, a quick goal which at first making people think that Spur would be getting a much more comfortable result.
However, it was not the story as the home side struggling to finish their chances and actually found themselves in difficulties at times when defending their opponent’s attacking play.
Despite having to face Cardiff with just 10 men since the 58 minutes, Tottenham still can’t get themselves that comfortable second goal, though that 1-0 score line was more than enough to secure all three points.
