Man United and Spurs Stroll to Victory in Premier League
Manchester United made a positive start into their new Premier League season as they got themselves ahead in the current standings following a commanding 4-0 win over West Ham United.
Playing in front of their own home crowd, Man United’s big summer signing, Romelu Lukaku was able to showcase his sharpness in that tie as he bagged two goals.
The Belgium international opened his team’s scoring on the 33 minutes giving his team a slender lead as they go into half time break.
Lukaku added his second soon after the restart before witnessing his teammates, Anthony Martial along with Paul Pogba completed Man United’s dominant win with their goals.
Another new player from the Red Devils, Nemanja Matic also put on a solid display in the midfield, giving strong sense of joy for the club’s manager Jose Mourinho.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur also started their season in a positive note as they defeated Newcastle 2-0 at St. James Park.
It was not an easy match for last season’s runners up as their opponent did put on a solid fight up til they were down to 10 men as Jonjo Shelvy got send off early in the second half.
Spurs took advantage over that situation as they got in front on 60 minutes through Dele Alli’s effort, before Ben Davies practically killed off that tie with his goal on 70 minutes.
