Manchester City still maintaining their lead at the top of English Premier League standings following their important weekend victory over one of their title rivals, Chelsea.
Having to play away from home, without some important players such as Sergio Aguero and Benjamin Mendy was not an easy task for Pep Guardiola’s men, but they passed in flying colors.
After a goalless first 45 minutes at Stamford Bridge, it was Kevin De Bruyne who broke the dead lock in that game as he scored what turned to be the only goal in that match on 67th minute.
An important result indeed for Guardiola’s side as they can keep that table topping seat for another week as Man City leading over their neighbor, Manchester United on goal difference.
United themselves bagged another big win this weekend as Jose Mourinho’s men demolished Crystal Palace 4-0 at Old Trafford.
Belgium international midfielder, Marouane Fellaini, once again proving his importance for Man United’s squad as he bagged two goals in that game.
After Juan Mata’s opener in the third minute, Fellaini netted Mourinho’s side next two goals on 35 and 49th minutes, before his fellow Belgium international, Romelu Lukaku sealed that match on 86 minutes.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur also earned a massive victory away from home as they defeated Huddersfield Town 4-0 thanks to Harry Kane’s double and goals from Ben Davies along with Moussa Sissoko.
