Man City and Tottenham Continue Winning Run
The battle for runners up spot in English Premier League continue to heat up as current two main rivals, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City won their latest league fixtures.
Man City comfortably ousted struggling Sunderland side 2-0 while Tottenham snatched a tight 3-2 over Everton at White Hart Lane.
Still missing their new Brazilian wonder kid Gabrie Jesus, City didn’t have too much problem in dismantling their opponent, notably with Sergio Aguero still in excellent goal scoring form.
The Argentinian international proved his prowess again in that game as he got his team’s opener on 42 minutes, giving his side a slender lead going into half time break.
Nothing really changed much in the second period as Man City continue their dominance and eventually netted their second through Leroy Sane on 59 minutes.
Meanwhile, Tottenham had a much tougher time at home against Everton, but Mauricio Pochettino’s men were still able to grab maximum points and remain at second place seat for now.
The home side started off well actually as they got in front after 20 minutes through Harry Kane’s effort which lasted until half time break.
Kane doubled his tally on 56 minutes and things looking rather comfortable for Spurs at that moment, but things suddenly changed later in the match when The Toffees pulled one back with a goal from Romelu Lukaku.
Pochettino’s boys did regain their two goals advantage through Dele Alli in stoppage time, but soon afterwards the visitor got another goal, this time from Enner Valencia, creating such a tense last few seconds.
