Real Madrid’s dominant in Europe continue as Real Madrid made their way into another UEFA Champions League final after eliminating Bayern Munich this midweek.
Taking a very fortunate 2-1 lead from their first meeting, things didn’t look that positive for Los Blancos early on as Bayern got themselves in front again through Joshua Kimmich.
However, it didn’t take long for Madrid to get themselves back into that tie as Karim Benzema equalized on 11 minutes, making it 1-1 and triggering a cracking offensive battle between two top sides.
Both teams created several chances during that first 45 minutes, notably Bayern that continue to miss opportunities in front of Madrid’s goal.
After the break, Zinedine Zidane’s men got themselves a lucky break when Benzema got his second after capitalizing on a horrific defensive error by the Bavarian’s goalie.
The Bundesliga giant didn’t gave up though as they pushed forward further and eventually able to make it 2-2 with a closer range finish from James Rodriguez.
That score line simply turned things into such tense situation, notably for Madrid as one more goal by the German side and Zidane’s boys would be out.
However, Los Blancos resilient defending in the last few minutes of that match got its reward as they were able to hold that 2-2 result and advanced into UCL final in Kiev with a 4-3 aggregate.
