Lyon have the chance to temporarily get themselves back into the top of French Ligue 1 standing if they can pick up maximum points against Bastia.
Noting that their main rival, Paris Saint-Germain won’t be playing yet this round, Lyon surely keen on securing that top spot and provide more pressure on Laurent Blanc’s men.
Although his side are favorite on paper, Lyon’s head coach, Hubert Fournier, warned his players not to underestimate their opponent as Bastia have every potential in causing an upset.
Furthermore, Fournier also reminded his side about their disappointing result against Nice, stating that Lyon must not repeat that mistake in order to win against Bastia.
