Last season French Ligue 1 runners up, Olympique Lyon are gearing up for the opening match of their league fixture against Lorient on Sunday and Hubert Fournier’s men are expecting a tricky match.
Despite playing in front of their home crowd, Lyon won’t be having it easy according to Fournier as the tactician stated that their opponent are an efficient side that can always raise their performance.
A less than convincing preseason results also brought some concern regarding Lyon’s preparation to start this season, especially after their Super Cup defeat from title rival, Paris Saint Germain, earlier this month.
However, Fournier already told his players to keep moving forward from those results and simply prepare for next matches with hard work and humility.
