Liverpool are really finding their title challenge disturbed in the recent weeks as after only picking up one point against Manchester United, Jurgen Klopp’s men were beaten by Swansea City this weekend.
Playing in front of their devotees at Anfield, The Reds struggled to break down their opponent’s defense, especially during the first 45 minutes which ended in goalless draw.
Things didn’t got better for Klopp’s men after the break as they immediately found themselves going two goals down only the the space of four minutes when Fernando Llorente scored two for Swansea.
That situation triggered positive reaction though from Liverpool as they were able to bounce back with also a brace from Roberto Firmino.
However, Swansea regained their advantage soon afterwards through Gylfi Sigurdsson’s effort and this time there’s no way back for The Reds.
Meanwhile, Man United only got one point again this weekend as Jose Mourinho’s men can’t overcome their opponent, Stoke City.
The Red Devils also being forced to chase that game as they were going one goal down after an unfortunate own goal from Juan Mata on 19th minutes.
Man United struggling hard in getting an equalizing goal, just like what happened against Liverpool in previous weekend, and this time after continuous attempt, it was Wayne Rooney that rescued Mourinho’s boys.
The veteran striker got his name in United’s record book with his goal, but more importantly it save Red Devils from picking up a defeat.
