Liverpool Not Planning to Sell Coutinho Despite Barcelona Interest
Getting into the Champions League this season, Liverpool are determined to keep their star players, notably Philippe Coutinho, who apparently is wanted by several teams this summer.
Latest reports claiming that Barcelona have made an offer for the Brazilian international, but it was turned down by The Reds’ management as their manager, Jurgen Klopp stated to the press that his star midfielder is not going anywhere.
Speaking to the media in a latest news conference, Klopp stated that his Brazilian star is never up to discussion, not even before reports regarding Barca’s interest.
Moreover, the tactician added that he is trying to build a strong Liverpool side with Coutinho as an important piece of the system.
Not only that, the former Borussia Dortmund’s tactician also strongly stating that The Reds are not a selling club, notably since his arrival as the idea was to grow together.
Despite of the statement, it remain to be seen on Liverpool can really keep their star midfielder this summer, especially if Barca are strongly keen on acquiring the former Inter Milan player.
Knowing the current uncertainty regarding Neymar’s future at Cam Nou, the Catalan side might continue their pursue of Coutinho and eventually the player’s personal wish might eventually play a part in the potential transfer saga.
