Liverpool Maintain Top Four Seat After Win Over Burnley
Liverpool were able to hold down their fourth place seat in the Premier League following an important victory over Burley this weekend.
Haven’t been able to show much consistency this season, The Reds somewhat showed that concern in their latest league fixture as they were forced to come from behind when facing Sean Dyche’s men.
Jurgen Klopp’s side struggle facing the mid-bottom table side looked to be continuing when the away side got themselves in front through Ashley Barnes after just seven minutes of play.
Fortunately for the home side, they were able to draw level shortly before half time break following an effort from Dutch international midfielder, Giorginio Wijnaldum.
After the break, Liverpool eventually completed their fight back when Emre Can scored on 61 minutes to give that slender lead for his side.
Despite both teams efforts in the remaining minutes, no more goals were scored by either sides as that match ended with a three points for Klopp’s boys.
Certainly a pleasing result for the Anfield based outfit as they have been struggling against lower ranked teams in their previous games.
That result certainly brought confidence for The Reds, in their attempts on finishing in the top four place for this league season, despite already playing two games more than their other rivals.
