The English Premier League might by having a short break due to international fixtures, but Liverpool fans can still enjoy some footballing feast at Anfield as a charity match was held this past weekend.
It was an interesting setup where Steven Gerrard’s IX are competing against former Reds’ defender, Jamie Carragher XI, in which both are filled with famous names such as Mario Balotelli, Thiery Henry, Fernando Torres, Luis Suarez and more.
Albeit it was only a friendly fixture, that tie remain a tight one with both sides eager to score goals and it was Carragher’s team that got an early two goals lead from Balotelli and Didier Drogba.
However, Gerrard himself showcasing his nerve of steel after snatching two equalizing goals, which were both arrived from the spot kick to make it 2-2 in the end.
