Liverpool Cruised Into Champions League Group Stage
Premier League side, Liverpool officially made their way into Champions League group stage round as they overcome Hoffenhim in playoffs stage with a quite convincing 6-3 aggregate over two legs.
Already winning 2-1 in their first meeting away from home, Jurgen Klopp’s men were determined to not let things slip away as they pressed hard since kick off and earned their rewards with an early goal from Emre Can, who scored after just 10 minutes of play.
Things got even better for The Reds as on 18 minutes Mohamed Salah doubled his team’s advantage, before two minutes later Can snatched his second in the game and made it 3-0 for Liverpool.
The Bundesliga outfit were not without any fight, but their poor finishing along with disjointed defense simply puts them in such difficult situation, though they did managed to pull one back before half time through Mark Uth’s effort.
Hoffenheim tried hard to get something out of that tie, but another defending error cost them as the home team netted their fourth with an easy finish from Roberto Firmino.
Another goal back was scrapped by the Bundesliga outfit when Sandro Wagner scored on 79 minutes, but it was just nothing more than further consolation for Julian Nagelsmann’s side that will now be competing in Europa League instead.
