Liverpool Bounce Back in Premier League Win Victory Over Arsenal

Liverpool’s fine run against Premier League top six sides continue as Jurgen Klopp’s men bounced back from their disappointing loss against Leicester to gun down Arsenal 3-1 this weekend.

Playing at their own home ground, The Reds were looking determined in erasing their recent let down against Leicester as they put strong pressure on Gunners.

The home team’s intense pressure early on was rewarded as they got themselves in front after just nine minutes of play through Roberto Firmino.

Arsene Wenger’s side tried to get back on level terms, but were struggling in creating opportunities and found themselves in deeper trouble going into half time break as Liverpool doubled their lead through Sadio Mane.

Gunners tried to come back in the second half especially with the entrance of Alexis Sanchez and things did look promising as the Chilean assisted Danny Welbeck to pull one back for them.

Despite able to push forward vigorously, Wenger’s  boys still struggling in getting that equalizing goal and found themselves conceding a third instead when Georginio Wijnaldum finished off a swift counter attack in stoppage time.

That late goal from Wijnaldum pretty much ended Arsenal’s attempt as they don’t have enough time to get themselves back into the tie.
