Bundesliga outfit, Bayer Leverkusen will be working hard to maintain their slender aggregate lead over Atletico Madrid, in the knock out stage of Champions League fixture this midweek.
Winning 1-0 at home on their previous meeting, Leverkusen can’t lay down as Atletico have been excellent at home in previous Champion League fixtures.
The Bundesliga side’s head coach, Roger Schmidt played down his team’s advantage by saying that Atletico remain as favorite to go through since they’re playing at home in the second meeting.
However, things are quite tricky for Diego Simeone’s men as they haven’t been picking up positive results in recent La Liga fixtures since they were beaten by Leverkusen.
It will be an exciting encounter where both sides are keen on taking advantage over each others’ mistakes to snatch that ticket into the next round.
