Late Lallana Goal Helped Allardyce’s England for a First Win

England’s reign under Sam Allardyce started off in a positive fashion as they bagged an important first victory after defeating Slovakia 1-0.

It was not the most convincing display from Three Lions as they were struggling to break down their opponent’s defense before Adam Lallana scored the winner deep in stoppage time.

That goal also occurred after Slovakia were forced to play with only 10 men with Martin Skrtel got send off on 57 minutes.

Despite facing 10-men, England still struggling to score as their winning strike scored by Lallana happened very late in that tie.

Nevertheless, it was an important result for Allardyce as he started off his England career with all three points as they begin their World Cup qualifier campaign positively.
