Adam Johnson departure looms closer

The 25-year old winger has been linked with several Premier League clubs, such as Liverpool, Sunderland and Tottenham.

Johnson has failed to break into the City first team ever since joining the Sky Blues, back in 2010.

Manchester City have failed to exceed their usual transfer expectations this season, mainly due to the mammoth wage list at the club, this giving Johnson more of a reason to leave the club..

Roberto Mancini has told press: “Adam can have a future here but you should also understand when you are 23 or 24 years old, you want to play,”

He then continued; “If you are at a top team, you can’t always do that, so if he wants to, he has to leave. If we can find a good solution, maybe it is better.”
