Jackson Martinez Making Big Money Move to Guangzhou Evergrande

Arriving with such promise last summer to Atletico Madrid, Colombian international, Jackson Martinez couldn’t adapt well as after just six months the striker already left Spain.

Martinez made a pretty surprising move by accepting an offer from Chinese Super League side, Guangzhou Evergrande, which paid 31 million pound for the former Porto player’s service.

The Colombian international failed to shine under Diego Simeones’ side, making a total of 22 appearances for Atletico, while scoring only two goals in the process.

Martinez followed the path of several top names such as Gervinho, Ramires and Freddy Guarin who also move to Chinese League this winter.
