Ireland and Sweden Share a Point on Their Euro Opener

It all tied in the game between Republic of Ireland against Sweden as both teams only picked up one point on their opening Euro 2016 fixture.

Ireland got off to a better start as they created several dangerous goal scoring opportunities before eventually taking the lead early in the second half through Wes Hoolahan.

However, Sweden were able to bounce back as Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s effort was unfortunately turned into its own net by Ciaran Clark to make it 1-1.

No more goals were scored by either teams in the remaining minutes as both have to settle for a point as they face up for tougher opponents in their remaining group games.
