Inter Milan’s attempt in keeping their captain, Mauro Icardi, continue to face trouble as this time, Napoli are strongly attempting to sign the Argentinian striker.
Following the potential departure of Gonzalo Higuain, Partenopei apparently putting Icardi as their main target, but Nerazzurri remain persistent in keeping their star forward.
Albeit admitting the approach made by Napoli on Icardi, Inter’s director, Piero Ausilio stated that his side remain firm with their position in keeping the striker at San Siro.
Moreover, Ausilio is confident that they can keep away their star player from Partenopei’s approach as Icardi doesn’t have a release clause and is still under contract until 2019.
The director also promised to fulfill Icardi’s request of contract renewal, although they’re not planning it soon since Inter have already improved the striker’s deal not long ago.
