After being somewhat forgotten in the last few matches, Manchester United veteran defender Rio Ferdinand finally being called up again into the England national team setup by manager Roy Hodgson. Hodgson himself claimed that recalling Ferdinand is a no-brainer for him since the the center back has been performing really well for his club recently and the Three Lions themselves could use someone with Rio’s quality.
Recent row between Ashley Cole and Ferdinand regarding John Terry’s racial case not long ago brought a potential tension in England’s defensive setup, but Hodgson is hoping that the two veterans can work things out and give their best for the national team.
