A rather unpleasant situation happened for Heerenveen’s star, Joey van den Berg this past weekend as he saw red during his side’s 5-2 defeat from PEC Zwolle.
The player was very frustrated with that decision as he practically loses his cool after receiving the marching order, saying unpleasant words and smashing an advertising board in the tunnel.
Van den Berg’s anger might be considered understandable though as he didn’t seem to do much wrong aside from reacting angry towards PEC player who actually fouled him.
Nevertheless, his over the top reaction proved costly as his side suffered a heavy lost in that game, putting more pressure for Heerenveen for their upcoming matches.
