Disappointing news arrived from Tottenham Hotspur camp as their star striker, Harry Kane has been ruled out to play in their upcoming weekend Premier League big match against Manchester United.
As it was reported by Spurs’ official social media page, Kane suffered a minor strain on his hamstring, which he picked up during his team’s 4-1 victory over Liverpool last weekend.
Although it’s not a major injury, The Lilywhites’ boss, Mauricio Pochettino stated that his team are not keen on taking any risk, especially since the season is still long and they do have other important games ahead.
Kane’s absence do brings disappointment for Pochettino, but the tactician remain confident with his team’s strength and ability to play well this weekend.
The former Southampton boss, added that throughout the season injury problems will occur anyway, so they must be ready to face any situation, including the absence of their star striker.
It remain to be seen what kind of approach or setup that Pochettino will come up with at Old Trafford as he himself will still be assessing his team until Saturday morning before making any final decision.
Albeit set to miss out on the weekend big match, Spurs are still hopeful that Kane will be available next midweek as they are scheduled to face Real Madrid at Wembley.
