Pep Guardiola finally got his first trophy for Manchester City as after a difficult first season, the Spaniard successfully guided his side to win the Carabao Cup on Sunday.

Man City comfortably beating Arsenal 3-0 at Wembley with goals coming from Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany along with David Silva.

It was actually a quite even contest during the first 45 minutes, at least until City finally opened the scoring through Aguero’s lovely finish after 18 minutes of play.

Gunners still putting on positive efforts in trying to get them back into that tie during the first half, but things pretty much changed after the break as City were much superior since the re-start.

After creating many problems for their opponent’s defense, Guardiola’s men finally doubled their advantage through Kompany’s close range strike, before Silva basically sealed that tie with his goal.

Although Carabao Cup is not considered as a major trophy in England, but still it’s a good start for the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss to mark his career at Etihad Stadium.

Guardiola himself might not only celebrate that latest cup victory this season, considering they are far ahead in Premier League standings and doing well in Champions League as well.

It would be interesting to see how pundits will see the Spanish tactician after this season, as he was received some strong criticism last season as he couldn’t won anything with City.
