German champions, Bayern Munich failed to grab a win on the first leg of their Champions League knock out stage encounter against Shakhtar Donetsk as both sides shared a goalless draw on that tie.
Being strongly tipped to overcome their opponent on that round, that result can be considered as a disappointment for Bayern, but apparently not according to the Bavarian club’s head coach, Pep Guardiola.
Speaking to the media after the tie, Guardiola said to the media that his quite happy with what his side achieved in Ukraine, as they put on a good performance and created several goal scoring opportunities.
The Spanish tactician looked quite confidence that his team can do well on the second leg at home, especially since his side were able to contain their opponent on that away fixture.
Guardiola ensured Bayern fans that the Bavarian will push hard on their second leg and try to beat Shakhtar as only a victory that can guarantee that ticket into the next round.
