World Cup winner, Germany fulfilled their ambition in finishing first in their group after picking up a slender victory over Northern Ireland on Tuesday.
Dominating the game since kick off, Joachim Low’s men were having problems in finishing their chances as they were wasting several opportunities already in the early minutes.
However, that relentless efforts were finally rewarded on 30 minutes when Mario Gomez finished off an assist from Thomas Muller inside the penalty area.
Der Panzer continue to dominate the game, but their finishing was simply left to be desired from as they failed to add more goals until the final whistle was blown.
That win was more than enough to take Germany topping their group as they have a slight edge on goal different compared to second place set Poland.
