Germany’s exit from Euro 2016 semifinal following their 2-0 defeat against host nation France apparently still leaving some bitter taste for their players along with head coach, Joachim Low.
Speaking to the media after their defeat from Les Blues, Low shouted out his disappointment over the tournament’s format which have 24 teams.
The tactician believes that there’s just too many teams playing in Euro reducing the quality of football being played and it’s a situation that won’t do much good for the sport.
Aside from Low, Die Mannschaft’s defender, Mats Hummels also shared similar view stating that the football quality were just below his expectation, noting that many teams doesn’t seem to have much interest in attacking.
Nevertheless, Hummels admitted his side’s defeat against Les Blues stating that it’s difficult to keep out a side like France on their back foot the whole time.
Stating their disappointment after a semifinal exit surely isn’t something that can bring positive conclusion for Germany as they might simply be considered as simply bitter following their defeat.
