The Derby match is always filled with plenty nasty challenges and that doesn’t exclude recent encounter between Dundee United against Dundee FC in the Scottish Premier League latest fixtures.
In that game, Dundee got their player, Gary Irvine, send off early in the first half after committing a rather shocking challenge with his elbow up on United’s Richie Ryan. The referee didn’t think twice to give Irvine a straight red for that incident, forcing the defender to leave the pitch without much protests.
Fortunately for Dundee, they didn’t suffer a defeat as the match itself ended in a 1-1 draw.
