Antoine Griezmann was the darling of France football once again following his two winning goals against Republic of Ireland in their recent last 16 match.
That fine performance pretty much sparked questions regarding what position would be best for Griezmann and the Atletico Madrid man himself admitted that he is much comfortable playing as a striker.
Speaking to UEFA in a recent interview, Griezmann said that playing more centrally gives him more advantages and naturally space to do all the things he wants.
The attacker has normally been played wider in France’s 4-3-3 setup flanking Olivier Giroud in that right side post, which was switched tactically in Les Blues second half against Ireland and it worked really well.
Now as France got themselves into the Quarter finals, will Didier Deschamps stick to what he did in the second half against Ireland or result to his normal 4-3-3 setup.
Either way, Griezmann is more than willing to play anywhere for his national team as he is hoping that they can go all the way and try to win it.
Still, the attacker also warned his teammates that they must improved on their slow start habit as it can eventually cost them dearly as the tournament gets into that crucial stages.
