Losing out one of their best players within just days before the World Cup start is not something that France were keen on experiencing, but it did happened as Les Blues was forced to leave out Franck Ribery, who can’t recover from his injury.
Commenting about this situation, France skipper, Hugo Lloris stated that although they’re disappointed by Ribery’s absence, but Les Blues will continue to work and push hard in Brazil.
Lloris added that with the absence of such quality player, his team must now work more as one unit and give their best in every matches to fulfill their ambition of doing well this time around.
The goal keeper believes that collective football is a key for France to achieve success in World Cup 2014 and Lloris is confident that his teammates are up for the test.
It will definitely be interesting to see how well can Les Blues cope with Ribery’s absence in an important tournament such as World Cup, especially since they do have several inexperience talents in their current 23-men squad.
