Former Liverpool and England national team captain, Steven Gerrard finally decided to end his playing career at the age of 36 after spending his last few years playing at Major League Soccer with LA Galaxy.
Gerrard’s announcement pretty much shut down some rumors about his still considering to play some football following his departure from MLS.
The ex-midfielder himself seemingly keen to end recent speculation regarding his future, notably rumors claiming that he could join Italian side, Inter Milan in a six months deal until the season ends.
However, making his announcement to the media, Gerrard confirmed that his footballing future won’t be on the pitch as player anymore.
Gerrard also thanking all of his former teams, Liverpool, LA Galaxy and England national team as he already achieved many things while playing at all of those teams.
Obviously, Liverpool being the most memorable moment for him as The Reds itself were Gerrard’s childhood club, so playing there is like a dream come true for him.
The player’s most memorable moment pretty much his success in leading Liverpool in winning 2005 Champions League via penalty shoot out against Italian giant, AC Milan.
That victory was something special indeed as The Reds were down 3-0 during half time, before eventually managed to draw level and take things into shootout.
