Belgium were able to bounce back from their opening fixture defeat against Italy by overwhelming Ireland 3-0 with goals from Romelu Lukaku and Axel Witsel.
Among those three goals scored, Witsel’s header can be considered as the best on that matchday as it combines precision, quality passing, movement along with powerful heading.
The Zenit Saint Petersburg midfielder made an excellent of the ball movement from midfield into the penalty area, before heading in an assist from Thomas Meunier.
That goal’s timing was quite important as well since it was Belgium’s second which pretty much killed off Ireland’s hope of getting back into the game.
Witsel was able to showcase an excellent display throughout the game, orchestrating things well in midfield and capped off his performance with a lovely goal as well.
