Euro 2016 Goal of the Day 4: Graziano Pelle’s Lovely Volley Against Belgium

Italy picked up all three points on their first group game in Euro 2016 by defeating Belgium 2-0 with goals from Emanuele Giaccherini and Graziano Pelle.

Both goals were pretty, but Pelle’s goal was kind of special not just because it was the one that sealed Italy’s victory, but because of it’s lovely finish and process.

Pelle finished off a swift counter attacking move with a brilliant volley inside the area after a very smart assist by Antonio Candreva.

Candreva unselfishly set up a lovely chip assist to Pelle despite the Lazio man has a chance to finish things out himself.

Making it more lovely, Pelle’s perfect technique in releasing that volley simply making it a splendid goal to witness, not to mention the massive reaction from Azzurri’s bench after the Southampton man scored.
