Enrique Set to Depart Barcelona at the End of Season
Clarity regarding Luis Enrique’s future with Barcelona have finally been answered as this midweek the tactician announced his decision to leave at season’s end.
Following the Catalan side’s big league win over Sporting Gijon, Enrique told the media that he has no intention on continuing his tenure at Camp Nou.
Initially the Spaniard’s contract will run out this summer, so there’s a potential talk for renewal, but with his imminent decision to leave, Barca must now look for a new boss for next season.
Explaining his decision further, Enrique claimed that it’s not an easy thing for him, but the lack of resting time he has been having eventually prompted him in opting to depart.
The 46-year-old thanked Barcelona’s management that have been providing enormous support during his three years spell at Camp Nou.
Still having few months left as a tactician, Enrique is keen on giving his best to give some success for Barca before his farewell.
The tactician stated that his side will try to push hard in every competition they are in, including Champions League, despite things are looking difficult against Paris Saint-Germain.
Nevertheless, Enrique remain hopeful that the Catalan outfit can still turn things around, albeit it requires the help of everyone.
