England and Belgium Already Thinking About Last 16 Battles

A potentially exciting encounter between England and Belgium in the final group game of World Cup 2018, could very well turn into a more intriguing and strategical battle between both sides.

Already securing their place in the knock out stage, both Three Lions and Red Devils remain keen on getting that group winner status, which can only happen by beating each others.

Belgium themselves reported promised to take their final group game seriously, though head coach, Roberto Martinez admitted that some chances will still be done since there’s more important games ahead of them.

Nevertheless, Martinez’s squad are one of the deepest in this tournament, so he can still put out a relatively competitive and strong squad against England.

England themselves also keen on winning their group, but might also consider checking out potential opponents that they will be facing in the knock out stage.

Although every team that reached the last 16 of World Cup are all quality teams, certainly Gareth Southgate can pick which sides that England can have a better shot in beating.

Just like Belgium, Southgate might consider rotating some of his players and give some important names a bit of rest, so they can be fresh when they play in the knock out stage.
