Missing many matches this season for his club AC Milan, Stephan El Shaarawy is starting to get back into fitness and not only his expecting to make a comeback for the Rossoneri, the ex-Genoa man also hopeful in getting into Italy’s World Cup squad.
Speaking to Milan Channel, the attacker reveals his joy of being able to train again with his teammates at Milannello while shouting out his confidence in being able to get that important call up for Brazil 2014.
“I’m doing all I can to get back as soon as possible. I’ve been working morning and afternoon at Milanello for this. I want to help my teammates qualify for the Europa League and maybe even move into contention for a place in the Italy squad. I believe I can make it to the World Cup,” El Shaarawy revealed.
The ex-Italy under-21 star is not having an excellent year with his long injury absent, mostly due to his metatarsal injury during last winter break, which has been putting him away from playing with Milan up till now.
His recovery program has been positive though as last weekend, he already had short playing time with Milan Primavera side which boosted his confidence upon making a return just before the season ends.
