Italy follow the footsteps on France as Antonio Conte’s men successfully made their way into the knock out stage of Euro 2016 following a slender 1-0 win over Sweden.
Gli Azzurri’s goal was netted by Eder late in the game as he wriggle pass several Swedish defender before sending a curling shot into the bottom corner.
That goal happened on 88 minutes, a perfect timing indeed from Conte’s boys as it does’t give much time for Erik Hamren’s men to stage any come back.
That game itself was pretty tight with Sweden actually had a better first 45 minutes compared to their opponent, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic and co can’t seem to break down Italy’s solid defensive unit.
Italy improved after the break, especially midway into that second period when they’re opponent starting to look rather tired.
Eder eventually got that massive winning goal, which will take Azzurri into the knock out stages as they already won their opening game 2-0 against Belgium.
