Ecuador still maintain their hope of advancing into the next stage of World Cup 2014 after their win over Honduras, but much tougher job awaits them on Wednesday as they must overcome table topper, France.
Les Bleus have performed well in their previous two World Cup games, but that doesn’t scare off Ecuador players as they’re keen on targeting all three points against Didier Deschamps’ men.
Although Ecuador only need to match any of Switzerland result to secure passage into the next round, the South American team are not keen on taking any gamble since there’s no guarantee that things will go their way.
It remain to be seen though on how will France approach the match as it’s very likely that they won’t be taken over from the top spot of Group E despite suffering a defeat against Ecuador.
However, Les Blues might still be keen on grabbing a perfect record on their group to give that extra confidence in the upcoming second round matches.
