There’s no bad blood whatsoever from Galatasaray striker, Didier Drogba after his team were eliminated by Chelsea in the second round of UEFA Champions League on Tuesday as being a former Blues player, Drogba still feel the affection of fans at Stamford Bridge. Speaking to the press after their 2-0 defeat, the Ivory Coast international appreciated his fans’ affection towards him, which he consider as a special thing. The striker also shared his praise for current Chelsea squad as Jose Mourinho’s men showed their strength on that math with an excellent performance.
Furthermore, Drogba also squashed recent critics regarding Chelsea’s attackers, as he noted how the Blues’ first goal was netted by a striker, Samuel Eto’o. The Ivory Coast international also believes that Mourinho’s men still have plenty of room for improvement, so the Blues fans don’t really have much concern on their team’s ability in competing with other top sides in Europe.
