Disappointed Hodgson ‘reluctantly accepts’ Terry’s Retirement

John Terry’s decision to retire from the English national team left a huge disappointment for their manager, Roy Hodgson, but the Swiss tactician decided to respect and reluctantly accepts Terry’s decision.

In his released statement after hearing Terry’s decision, Hodgson stated his acceptance over the defender’s decision despite feeling disappointed by it. The manager also revealed that the Chelsea skipper had already informed about the retirement decision via phone call.

Terry’s decision to retire from England national team also means that his last game with the Three Lions were the recent 5-0 victory over Moldova.
